Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data FounderCards collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. FounderCards is operated by Dmytro Virych, an individual sole proprietor based in Ukraine. Questions? Email support@founder-cards.com.
1. What we collect
- Email address. When you join the waitlist or purchase a card, we collect your email so we can deliver your card, send transactional notifications, and (with your consent) notify you about launch.
- Card content. Information you submit to generate a card — your displayed name, archetype, stats, and (optionally) a profile picture.
- Payment metadata. When you purchase, our payment provider (Creem) processes your payment and shares transaction metadata (amount, status, last four digits of the card) with us. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to collect aggregate, privacy-friendly metrics about page views and basic device class. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and does not track you across sites.
- Server logs. Our hosting providers log IP addresses and request metadata for security and debugging; these logs are retained on a rolling basis per provider defaults.
2. How we use it
- To deliver the wallet pass and card page you bought.
- To send transactional email (purchase confirmation, card-ready notifications, refund updates).
- To contact waitlist subscribers about the launch and product updates (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and policy violations.
- To improve the Service via aggregate, non-identifying analytics.
3. Legal bases (GDPR)
We rely on the following legal bases for processing your personal data: performance of a contract (delivering your purchase), legitimate interests (analytics, fraud prevention, product improvement), consent (marketing emails to waitlist subscribers), and compliance with legal obligations (tax, accounting).
4. Sub-processors
We share the minimum data necessary with the following service providers:
- Creem — payment processing.
- Resend — transactional email and waitlist contact storage.
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
- Vercel — application hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
- Apple and Google — to deliver wallet passes to their respective wallet apps.
Each provider has its own privacy practices, available on their respective websites.
5. Cookies
We use first-party cookies only when strictly necessary — for example, to remember your waitlist form session. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics operates without cookies.
6. Data retention
We keep your account-related data (email, purchase history, card content) for as long as your card is live on the Service. You can request deletion at any time by emailing support@founder-cards.com. We may retain limited records (such as billing data) where required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. EU/EEA, UK, California), you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, export your data, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent for marketing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@founder-cards.com from the address associated with your account. We respond within 30 days.
8. International transfers
Our infrastructure providers operate globally, so your data may be processed in countries other than the one you live in. Where required, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards provided by our sub-processors.
9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and reputable hosting providers. No system is 100% secure; we will notify affected users without undue delay in the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to their rights and freedoms.
10. Children
FounderCards is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, email us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated by email or via a notice on the Service.
12. Contact
